Ah, the joys of time. I'm amazed to find that it's almost the end of March, it seems like yesterday it was January and I was walking through the bitter cold (which this year was rather harsh for NYC winters). I'm finally signing up on Facebook, which should be interesting, now that I have a functional laptop that isn't likely to die soon. For some reason, however, uploading a single picture seems to be taking forever. I wonder why, but as a Facebook newbie, I suppose it's my DSL connection. It's no T1.

This weekend I'm off to my aunt's, which hopefully will help to make her feel that I'm not avoiding her, just busy. Hell, I've barely seen my parents at their place this year. One of these days, maybe I'll have time for everyone. In the meantime, I finally told the guy I was dating that it just wasn't happening. After 4 dates, there was still no spark, and rather than trying to fake it, I just told him the truth. I think it was a wise decision, although I'm back to no prospects again. Good thing I'm used to being alone.

Easter's in 2 weeks, and then spring will be here. Time to get my ass in gear and lose some weight, hopefully also stop smoking (finally) since May 20th is getting awfully close. Time for some willpower perhaps? :)

And I'm back in business! I went to B&H for my new laptop, a beautiful, cute little Asus EEE! This is so small and light it's amazing, especially after my 2002 IBM laptop which was great technology then, but things have progressed just a tad since then. I made sure to pick up a separate (also tiny & cute) mouse from Impecca since there's no trackball, just the touchpad (which I hate to use), an external DVD/CD drive (EEEs don't have them), and Microsoft Office. The only major thing I didn't ask for was a security program. Oops. I'll just have to limit my time online and ask my sister for advice on which one to install. But in the meantime, I have Internet again! Major step forward for me :).

I'm keeping it quick since the fan on my laptop is pretty much dead, and I can barely boot it up. Hopefully I'll have a new computer in a week or so, but at least I can still afford one since *drumroll* I still have my job. Ok, I'm off before it crashes again. I'm well and here at least!
