Lemon blueberry muffin bread is in the oven and I have lemon pear marmalade (store bought) to put on it for this week's breakfast. Today I went to look for a new car, and am debating between a 2020 Toyota Camry LE (used obviously), and a new Camry LE, and am really not sure. Living in NYC made me miss milestones that others my age have experienced like buying, well, anything that didn't fit into or with a rented studio, and since moving back to NJ I'm feeling it keenly.

Furniture shopping? No clue. Car shopping? Ditto. House shopping? Well, if I ever hit that milestone it will mean I won the lottery but I would be equally clueless. The largest purchase I made over 15 years was a new bed and I kept the cost for that under $1,000 including the adjustable base, so I'm woefully out of my depth when it comes to true big ticket items.

The one advantage I have is my ability to research, however, so now that I have a pretty good ballpark for the price of this particular new or used car I can check the major sources and figure out what the experts and others have said about the best price and kind of purchase. I'm also betting that no one will walk in and buy that 2020 Camry in the next week or so but considering the market has cooled considerably and many people are putting off larger purchases if at all possible I may get lucky. Financially? Definitely want the 2020 car. With 50,000 miles on the used car already though, the new car may be a better bet for lasting longer for me.

Now that the baking is done, I suppose tomorrow will be research day.

It's strange having Good Friday off, but it's a tradition at SIB and I for one am thrilled that is the case! Another sign of how even though it's grown into a relatively large bank it retains the feel of a small corporation, and it reminds me again how lucky I am to have found this job.

We're doing Easter at my aunt's on Sunday so I volunteered to bring dessert. Today I food shopped for my ingredients, got my laundry done, mopped the floors, made lemon curd and meringues, and tomorrow I'll prepare the cake. I actually got in almost 10,000 steps just doing chores, cleaning, and baking. I meant to go to the gym, I really did, but this almost makes up for it.

The gym is really where I haven't been able to achieve much in terms of putting it into a routine for me. When I get up in the morning I need about 2 hours to just do coffee, breakfast, puzzles, and news; it seems baffling to me that somehow I used to get out of the door within an hour of waking up every. single. day. I'm loving the new, slow morning routine enough that making that effort to get dressed, into the car, and to the gym just isn't ever high on my list of things to do. Hell, I've made it to the ocean to walk the boardwalk more in the past two months then gone to the gym! I'll keep trying, but if I still am not going on a semi-regular basis by mid-summer it's probably time to rethink the membership.

In the meantime I need to Google how to properly mix lemon curd into cream cheese frosting so I'll be ready to go for that component tomorrow. Maybe tomorrow I'll get to the gym...

The rest of my pictures are hung and it looks like the banking crisis is over for now. I really can't ask for anything more so tonight I'm just going to do my nails and get ready for the new work week. A massive thunderstorm blew in last night and while we didn't lose power then (or have a tornado like a nearby town), it was out for about 7 hours today since I'm sure JCP&L was fixing poles and lines around the area.

New week and then Easter. How is it April already?!
