I'm getting ready for Christmas, cards, gifts, all of the trappings that usually accompany the holiday. Last year I was more prepared, since it was the first time I'd been in one place more than a year since 18 years old. Now my lease is up with a guarantee of the new lease only to find that my landlord has managed to somehow magically send my renewal lease to the wrong place. Gee! How could that possibly happen! It would be nice one day to have landlords act as people who aren't trying to take all they can, legally or illegally.

Such is life, I suppose. I've got my Christmas cards written out, tomorrow I'm going shopping, and then it's back to work, baking cookies, and getting back to basics for a couple of weeks before going back into the chaos of the financial markets and insane economics. Hey, I've got my job - that's good enough for me to stand by, watch, and pray I keep it :).
